I also educate you on water services and drains, and exterior property components. I enjoy helping people learn more about their new proposed property – I feel a little education goes a long way and is a very good thing!!

Inspector/Owner Mark Kachur specializes in:

  • Heating & Cooling - educating you on type and age of system, running of system, inspection of chimney, pipes and flu, checking of heat exchanger, filters, humidifier (if applicable), distribution(radiator, baseboard, ductwork), and any supplementary heating. Cooling inspection includes running of system (weather permitting) age, capacity, and inspection of compressor.
  • Plumbing – full inspection of all types *public water and sewer or well and septic* running of all water and sewer services and piping checking for leaks, this includes kitchen and appliances such as dishwasher, washing machines, hot water heater, toilets, showers, sinks, etc.
  • Electrical – full inspection of main electrical panel which includes showing you how your panel is set up; checking of wiring, switches, and outlets throughout house.
  • Structural – full inspection of foundations (concrete, block, piling) walls, and flooring throughout house; attics including condition of stick or truss type framing, ventilation, insulation, and flooring
  • Interior – walls, ceilings, flooring, windows, doors, kitchen cabinets and appliances, stairs, etc., and amount of settlement as to the age and condition of the property.
  • Exterior Building – exterior wall covering & sheathing, exterior trim, fascia, soffit, gutters, porches, decks; roofing including estimated age and condition of shingles or cedar lath or if double roof (re-roofing), areas of visual leakage and/or damage (missing or broken shingles, etc.)
  • Exterior Grounds – includes sidewalks, driveways, fencing, grading of soil away from house, outside showers, hose bibs, storage sheds, patios, etc.
